How To Apply For PAN Card Online
02 Aug 2016#1 : Open https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pan/form49A.html or Click Here #2 : Choose your category at bottom of the page in ”apply for new pan card” section. #3 : Complete the application . You may face difficulty in searching your jurisdiction. Click the link for it, then choose city. It will get automatically filled. #4 : Choose relevant Address proof and ID proof . #5 : Make payment online by debit card or net banking or credit card.
#6 : Note down the 15 digit acknowledgment number. You will also receive it in your mailid.
#7 : Save and print the acknowledgment.
#8 : Affix a recent color photograph (size 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm)
in the space provided in the acknowledgment.
Also attache the copy of ID & address proof which you have mentioned in the application and sign in the given space for signature.
#9 : Superscribe the envelope with ‘APPLICATION FOR PAN – Acknowledgment Number’ The documents need to be sent to the address:

Your Application should reach Income Tax department (given address) within 15
days. So send it through Speed Post
, because normal post will take more time.
Now the income tax department will verify your application with ID and address proofs. If they find everything ok, then they will send the PAN Card through Speed Post. If there is any correction needed, then they will ask to correct the same. They will communicate you via registered emailid. In between you can check your Pan card status.

The status will show you whether they have sent your PAN card or not. You will receive Pancard via speed post.
